This symposium invites family justice professionals to examine how children’s best interests, voices, safety, and relationships evolve over time, particularly in the context of separation, conflict, and child safety concerns. Emphasis is placed on developmental perspectives, child-inclusive practice, and the careful balancing of children’s expressed views with protection, proportionality, and long-term well-being. Join us for cutting-edge, interdisciplinary discussions focused on decision-making that remains responsive as families change and transition.
